Tips to Achieving Healthy Looking Skin

  • Never go to bed without taking your makeup off! No matter how tired you are, removing makeup from your skin before bed is extremely important and should be incorporated into your skincare routine. Sleeping with makeup can clog pores, cause breakouts and speed up the ageing process.
  • Getting at least 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Our skin renews itself while we sleep and helps with the repair process. This includes the production of collagen, cell turnover and strengthening of our skin. Everyone needs their beauty sleep!
  • Double cleanse at night, Why?
    • 1st cleanse to remove any makeup, dirt or excess oils and build up from the day
    • 2nd cleanse to address particular skin concern and allow for following products to be better absorbed into the skin.
  • Protect your skin from the sun. Wear sunscreen/moisturisers with SPF to protect your skin from UVA and UVB damage
  • Drink plenty of water to help your body alleviate and flush out toxins. (aim for at least 8 glasses per day)
  • Eat and maintain a clean balanced healthy diet.
  • Manage Stress. Stressful conditions can trigger breakouts. Healthy state of mind = Healthy Skin
  • Avoid touching your face. We are all guilty of this and at some point throughout the day we may do it without even realising! Touching your face can spread dirt, oil and bacteria from your hands to your face and can lead to clogging of pores and breakouts. As well as avoiding touching your face, pimple popping is a big no no! Pimple popping can be painful, cause acne scarring or even infections.
